Born in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Jesse (Jesus) Tafoya didn’t stay put for long; his family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, when he was five, following work on the railroad. But even as a kid, he was already on a different track. By the fourth grade, while most kids were doodling in the margins, he was already hooked on drawing, and he knew he had found his calling.
