As a reminder for outdoor photo sessions- Glitter is litter, and non-biodegradable materials are not allowed on the grounds of the Botanic Gardens during your shoots. No materials or trash of any type should be left on the property. It’s crucial to clean up after yourself and leave the grounds in the same condition as you found them. Do not walk, stand, sit, kneel, move, touch, lean against, pluck, or otherwise harm any of the plants, flowers, trees, rocks, garden spaces, water features, garden plots, art pieces, or planted areas. All outdoor photography is free.

Items not allowed on the grounds (not limited to these items):

  • Glitter, rice, confetti, beads, bird seed, silk or paper flowers, sparklers, fireworks, non-biodegradable items or helium balloons.
  • The releasing of balloons, throwing, setting off, or placing of non-biodegradable items, or anything that can lead to litter in the Garden’s spaces or building.
  • Use of fog, haze, CO2, or other atmospheric devices in the building or ground spaces.
  • NO open flame candles – only simulated candles (battery operated) are permitted
