Botanical Cyanotype Workshop with Cari Faye

August 9 @ 2:00 pm 4:00 pm

Large plywood panel laid across an open garage entrance with several blue-toned cyanotype prints arranged and secured using blue clamps around the edges. The prints are drying outdoors in bright sunlight on a paved surface beside a tan metal building.
$25.00 Per Participant

Join artist and photographer Cari Faye for a hands-on introduction to the beautiful, historic process of cyanotype photography. During this 60–90 minute workshop, participants will create their own botanical photogram using flowers and leaves gathered from the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens.

You’ll learn the basics of cyanotypes—a photographic printing process that uses sunlight (or UV light) to produce striking blue-and-white prints—and discover how to arrange natural materials to create one-of-a-kind compositions. No photography experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. This hands-on workshop is $25 per participant.

Each participant will leave with their own handmade cyanotype print and a deeper appreciation for the intersection of art, nature, and photography.

Perfect for beginners, families, artists, and anyone who enjoys getting creative with the natural world.
