Horticulturist Jessica Friis will discuss heirloom vegetables tested, recommended, or developed by researchers at the Cheyenne Horticultural Field Station (now High Plains Arboretum) in the 1930s. These vegetables are all suited to our short growing season, including a variety of tomatoes that were developed at the Cheyenne station. Class fee will include one packet of free seeds and other seeds will be available for purchase after the class. 

This class is located in the Shane Smith Grand Conservatory in the second-floor classroom. Pre-registration is required.
