DESCRIPTION:The glorious glow of glass art warms the soul during the winter months. Join us in welcoming glass artists from all over the region to our 42nd Annual Glass Art Celebration.We will be displaying glass art in our 2nd floor Hallway space and many are for sale this year so make sure you visit before your favorite piece is sold! As always\, the show is free so come and look as often as you like\, and bring a friend! \n\n\n\nRibbons will be awarded for People’s Choice and Artist’s Choice. The People’s Choice and Artist’s Choice selection is based solely on the total number of votes each artwork receives. Official voting begins February 4\, 2025\, and will end at 5:00 p.m. on March 29\, 2025. Winners will be announced via media outlets.

DESCRIPTION:Artist Barb Christofferson of Glass Works Stained Glass Studio of Cheyenne will teach participants how to cut\, grind\, foil\, and solder components of their suncatcher during this three-hour workshop. Band-aides are included\, along with other tools\, materials\, and instructions. And you’ll depart with a finished suncatcher that YOU made! A Saturday in February can’t be spent any better. Ages 12 and up are eligible for this workshop\, and registration is necessary in advance.  All sales are final. DESCRIPTION:Learn which vegetable varieties are recommended for Cheyenne based on decades of research conducted at the Cheyenne Horticulture Field Station (now the High Plains Arboretum) from 1930-1974. Horticulturist Jessica Friis will explain the varieties and how to care for them so that you can successfully grow vegetables in your backyard.   \n\n\n\nThis session is held in the second-floor classroom of the Shane Smith Grand Conservatory. Pre-registration is needed\, and the cost of this program is $5 per person.
