SUMMARY:Cari Faye's Imaginarium: A living Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Visit the Shane Smith Grand Conservatory Hallway Gallery and experience Cari Faye’s striking cyanotypes—works created through the historic photographic process of hand-coating surfaces with light-sensitive chemistry and exposing them to ultraviolet light. One of photography’s earliest printing methods\, cyanotype has been reimagined by Cari through large-format compositions and experimental surfaces that evoke atmosphere\, memory\, and storytelling. Blending a contemporary Western perspective with a timeless photographic medium\, her work invites viewers to see the familiar in unexpected ways.

SUMMARY:Finding Inspiration: A Conversation on Self-Portraits & Creativity with Cari Faye
DESCRIPTION:Join artist and photographer Cari Faye for an engaging presentation exploring the creative process behind her self-portrait work and the role inspiration plays in a lifelong artistic practice. \n\n\n\nThrough stories and images spanning more than fifteen years of self-portrait photography\, Cari will share how photography became a tool for exploration\, curiosity\, and creative growth. She’ll discuss where ideas come from\, how inspiration can be found in everyday life\, and why creating meaningful work begins with paying attention to the world around us. \n\n\n\nMore than an artist talk\, this presentation invites participants to reflect on their own creative journeys through guided questions and conversation. Whether you’re an artist\, photographer\, writer\, or simply someone looking to reconnect with your creativity\, you’ll leave with new ways to recognize inspiration and practical ideas for nurturing it in your own life. \n\n\n\nThis 45-minute presentation concludes with time for reflection and audience questions. UPDATE: The time has been adjusted to 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

SUMMARY:Botanical Cyanotype Workshop with Cari Faye

No photography experience is necessary\, and all materials will be provided. This hands-on workshop is $25 per participant. \n\n\n\nEach participant will leave with their own handmade cyanotype print and a deeper appreciation for the intersection of art\, nature\, and photography. \n\n\n\nPerfect for beginners\, families\, artists\, and anyone who enjoys getting creative with the natural world.
