The Laramie County Master Gardeners and the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens are bringing in horticulture pro David Whiting.
Whiting will talk on taking a new approach to xeriscaping as an introduction to landscape design. He will address design as a process while emphasizing water-saving features and effective plant combinations with pizzazz. This program has direct application for new landscapes as well as updating existing landscapes to be more water efficient. “Whiting is a great communicator and one of the best in the region at getting across lots of solid information in an efficient manner,” stated Botanic Gardens Director, Shane Smith.
Whiting is the Extension Consumer Horticulture Specialist and faculty member in the at Colorado State University. In addition he coordinates the Colorado’s Master Gardener Program, is an author, instructor and green industry trainer.
