The Reckling Herb Garden was created in memory of Dr. Walter E. Reckling. Dr. Reckling was an avid gardener and the family felt this was a perfect way to remember the many gifts he gave the community, his friends and family. This garden is a mixture of both culinary herbs as well as medicinal. We invite you to feel free to rub the leaves to get an idea of the differing aromas of each plant.

This garden has extensive interpretation which discusses the loss of habitat for many discovered and undiscovered herbs aswell as the history and importance of our many culinary herbs that are commonly used today.
