Western Walkway Entry

"Half our time is spent trying to find something to do with the time we
have rushed through life trying to save."

-  Will Rogers

Rotary Century Plazas Entryways

As you enter the Rotary Century Plazas from the south you will see a traditional western ranch gateway. This gateway was created in part by Laramie artist, James Knadler. There are silhouette cutouts in metal that depict the history of the high plains from the teepee to the tractor. Local rancher, Dave Foreman generously donated the gate and planking that came from a fence on his ranch, north of Cheyenne.

More about the horseshoe Arch

When you enter the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens from the north you will find one of Cheyenne's best sculptures. This sculpture was created by Fort Collins welder and artist, RIck Upham.
This sculpture arch was created with hundreds of horseshoes. If you walk up close to the sculpture, you will likely notice that not all horseshoes are alike. Some are for mules, some are for draft horses and there are even orthopedic horseshoes. Rick Upham didn't forget adding a few horseshoes from the game "horseshoes."  This entry arch is truly unique and has a wonderfully organic look as if it were horns made of scales.
