The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens is one of the few public places where livestock brands are both demonstrated and celebrated. This book provides the stories that connect the history of the brands that are found in the sidewalk of the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens Western Walkway with the stories of the regional ranches from which the brands originated.

"The brands each have a story - about the ranch, its owners, and the pioneer history of the area. Publication of the book "Brands of the Western Walkway" answers visitors' questions and furthers readers' knowledge of the ranch histories of the county"
- Dr. Phil Roberts, History Professor, University of Wyoming

"More how-to books could use the chatty, personal style of this very useful gardening guide. At 500 pages, it is a great bargain for gardeners in all climates."-Bloomsbury Review

"As Director of the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, Shane Smith has been on the vanguard of "user-friendly" greenhouse design and utilization for several years. Virtually any question which might be asked by either a novice or an advanced home greenhouse gardener is answered fully. Smith's book has won a place on our ready reference shelf.
