"The Glass Art Celebration!" Wyoming's largest glass art show is returning for its sixteenth season. The show runs for ten days from Friday, February 11th through Sunday, February 20th, 2011 at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens in Lions Park. The show is open to both amateur and professional glass artists.

Glass at the Gardens is professionally judged with ribbons and a cash awards for both amateurs and professionals. The show is not limited to stained glass but also features painted, melted, 3-d and fused glass along with glass bead work.

The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens provides a unique setting for the artistic creations in the natural light of the conservatory. According to Botanic Garden Director, Shane Smith, "A greenhouse conservatory provides the absolute perfect setting because of the natural bright light and beautiful combinations of iridescent glass colors, flowers and plants. The glass pieces come alive when they are illuminated in a greenhouse."

You will not only see beautiful glass art but you will also enjoy the tropical paradise always found in the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens conservatory. The winter months are the most colorful time of year inside the Botanic Gardens conservatory. A simple visit cures even the worst case of cabin fever. The Garden is free and open to the public during the show. Special show hours will be from 8:00-5:00 on weekdays and from 10:00-4:00 on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 12th and 13th and 19th and 20th) 2011.
