Quotes from past interns:

“I feel that the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens is one of the best internships in the nation. It is more than just a nice garden; it’s people living horticultural therapy every day, and most of them don’t even know it. Maybe that is what horticulture therapy is all about.” “Overall the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens has granted me everything I was looking for in an internship this summer and a little more. I will miss the staff and all the volunteers, but undoubtedly will keep in touch and cherish the memories from the Botanic Gardens forever.” “Cheyenne gave me the feeling of a small town with all the resources of a big city. Every chance I had I headed for the Laramie mountain range to go biking and fishing. The people I worked with, staff, and volunteers alike, are all great and each one has touched me in a different way, I will have friends and memories from the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens that will last a lifetime.”

Past Cheyenne Botanic Garden interns have gone on to become award winning professors in horticulture, run their own gardening and landscaping businesses, joined the Peace Corps, taken senior positions at larger public botanic gardens, employed as professional horticultural therapists at institutions and more.
