If you need a preview of summer, plan to visit the tropical Cheyenne Botanic Gardens solar greenhouse. Over 50,000 bedding plants are being sown by volunteers for outside flower beds around on the Botanic Garden grounds and around Cheyenne’s parks, Depot square and parkways.

The Greenhouse is at 710 S. Lions Park Dr. in Lions Park
Weekdays 8:00 – 4:30
Saturdays 11:00 – 3:30

Compost Yard Waste Pick-​​up to begin

The Cheyenne City Compost Yard Waste Program will restart on Monday, April2, 2012, and run through Mid-​​November 2012.The program costs $6.00 per month. It is illegal to deposit organic yard waste in your regular trash container.

The billing, for those who kept their containers through the winter months, will begin on April 1, 2012. Pick up days stay the same as the previous year.
Two extra bags of compost may be set beside the compost container during the month of April only.
